LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy

Finding a provider who knows about the LGBTQ+ community can take time, energy, and feel significantly frustrating if you’re already not feeling you’re best.

Maybe you’ve been to therapy before, but walked away feeling like the person just “didn’t get it” or even worse, they asked you weird invasive questions.

I specialize in LGBTQ+ affirming care and use evidenced based practices with the community in mind.

My goal is to make sure you feel seen and heard.

I also believe you are the expert of your experience and want to create a space where you don’t feel afraid or worried about judgement.

I am happy to provide individual therapy and support focused on aiding you in:

  • Exploring your sexuality

  • Coming out to family and friends

  • Coping with non-affirming spaces

  • Communicating and advocating for yourself with employment, education, etc.

  • Processing, navigating, and unlearning internalized homophobia

  • Navigating romantic relationships

  • General mental health concerns (anxiety, depression, stress, adjustment)

I use a blend of evidenced based methods such as, Transdiagnostic LGBTQ-Affirmative Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
